Dumbarton UMC observes the traditional rituals of Christianity -- the sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism; and the ritual of Confirmation.

Additionally, over the years we have developed some unique Dumbarton rituals. The weekly lighting of the peace candle and a sending forth ritual when church members move away from the area are two such examples. Sometimes we create rituals specific for the time and context and need.
