Special Guest Preacher: Bishop Ande Emmanuel
Sunday, May 4 | Worship at 11:00 AM | Adult Education at 10:00 AM
We are honored to welcome Bishop Ande Emmanuel, Bishop of the West Africa Central Conference, to Dumbarton UMC on Sunday, May 4. Bishop Emmanuel provides spiritual leadership to the Nigeria Episcopal Area and Mission Districts in Senegal and Cameroon.
Adult Education | 10:00 AM
Bishop Emmanuel will join us for a special Adult Education session, offering a firsthand perspective on the impact of the Global Methodist Church (GMC) on the United Methodist Church (UMC) in Nigeria and across Africa. He will share the challenges and opportunities that have arisen and speak to how the UMC in Africa continues to proclaim unity, affirm contextual ministry, uphold mutual respect, and nurture the connectional spirit across continents.
Worship Service | 11:00 AM
During worship, Bishop Emmanuel will preach on the theme:
“Remember what God has done for you and be grateful to God.”
He will also join Pastor Rachel in celebrating Holy Communion.
This is a unique opportunity to hear from a global leader in The United Methodist Church and to reflect on how our connectional church supports ministry around the world. Let’s show our warm Dumbarton welcome to Bishop Emmanuel and come together in worship, learning, and fellowship!
