Vacation Bible School Weekend: June 27–29

In partnership with Mt. Vernon Place UMC

We’re thrilled to partner once again with Mt. Vernon Place UMC to host an exciting and justice-centered Vacation Bible School (VBS) weekend for all ages!

This year, we’re using JUST LIKE ME!, a garden-themed curriculum from Reconciling Ministries Network that celebrates inclusion, intersectional justice, and the beauty of diversity. With upbeat original music, crafts, games, storytelling, and hands-on activities, this weekend is all about digging in and going deep—growing together in faith and community.

Come for one day or all three—it’s completely free and open to everyone!

📅 VBS Weekend Schedule

🌿 Friday, June 27 | 6:45–9:00 PM
Location: Mt. Vernon Place UMC (Parking available)

• Pizza dinner for all

• Fun breakout activities for preschoolers, elementary-aged children, youth, and adults

🌱 Saturday, June 28 | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Location: Common Good City Farm

• Farm tour, composting, water play

• Interactive Bible stories for all age groups

🌻 Sunday, June 29 | 1:00–4:00 PM
Location: Dumbarton UMC

• Sandwich lunch

• Final session of activities and Bible storytelling

• Brief closing worship for all participants
