Always Making Waves

Dumbarton has gotten considerable media attention for its social action. In the 1980s, we received worldwide radio, TV and newspaper coverage for sheltering an illegal immigrant, ignoring federal regulations. In 2010, we received national prominence for agreeing to perform same-sex weddings despite United Methodist policies against such marriages.
