Communications Cluster

Spreading God's Word

A recent addition, this cluster strives to communicate Dumbarton's mission and activities to the outside world and to Dumbarton members themselves. The group is spreading the church's message via Internet, Facebook, Twitter, electronic email, listservs and newer media, along with its printed material and signs at the church entrance.

Newsletter, Chips Off the Old Rock, is published monthly, both via email and paper. Committees may keep the congregation informed about their work through Chips. The Sharing Column has some of the news shared in Sunday Sharing of Joys and Concerns and news told to the editor specifically for the newsletter. You may ask to receive the newsletter regularly by asking the church office: dumbartonpastor@yahoo.com.

Public Relations Committee promotes Dumbarton through press releases, advertisements and contacts with the news media.

Accessibility Committee makes sure we have hearing assistive devices and that they function, that the sound system works, and that the church is accessible in other ways.

Transportation Committee organizes shuttle service to and from the Metro.
